　登壇したHUE 代表取締役 CEO キム?ユラ氏は，まず2010年の事業展開を振り返り，なぜ同社が主軸とするオンラインRPGだけでなく，教育系の「ちょいトレ英会話」や，音楽/ダンスゲームの「X-BEAT（エクスビート）」などに取り組んできたかを説明した。キム氏曰く，ほかのパブリッシャが手を出さない分野にあえてチャレンジすることで，業界大手との差別化を図る狙いがあるという。
　さらにキム氏は，こうした取り組みは必ずしも数か月から1年程度の短期間で結果が出せるわけではないが，長期的に継続することに意義があり，今後もさらなるチャレンジをしていくと意気込みを見せた。

　またオンラインRPGについては，市場に似たようなタイトルが溢れる中，運営サイドでキャッチコピーやコンセプトに捻りを加え，差別化を図ってきたと述べる。キム氏は，その具体例として，一連の「アークサイン」における取り組みを挙げた。







　さらにキム氏は，2010年のHUEならでは大きな取り組みとして，「グラナド?エスパダ ルネッサンス」（以下，GE R）のタイトルリニューアル，「HELLGATE」のローンチ，そして同年7月に開催されたHUE初の単独イベント「Hanbit Station 2010」を挙げる。

　まず，Hanbit Station 2010に関して，キム氏は，HUEのブランドイメージ作りの一環として，オンラインゲームの?部屋にこもって遊ぶ?というようなネガティブな印象を覆したかったと説明する。プレイヤー同士，あるいはプレイヤーとHUEのスタッフが，直接，顔を合わせることで新たなコミュニケーションが生まれるのではないかと，キム氏は期待をのぞかせるとともに，当日，会場に集まった5000人を超える来場者や出演者/関係者に感謝を述べた。なお，同様のイベントは2011年も開催される予定とのことで，キム氏は「HUEの文化として根付かせたい」と話していた。







　GE Rのリニューアルについては，先行した韓国において旧タイトルというイメージを払拭できたことを受け，日本でも成功を確信していたとのこと。キム氏は，成功の要因として，既存プレイヤーのモチベーション向上，新規獲得と休眠プレイヤーの掘り起こしが順調に進んだことに加え，開発を主導するキム?ハッキュ氏が同タイトルに情熱をもって取り組んでいることを挙げた。

　2010年12月に正式サービスを開始したHELLGATEについては，プレイヤーの離脱率など，βテストでは見えなかった問題が浮上していると，キム氏は述べる。そして，どこに原因があるかは運営?開発とも把握しており，今後数か月間のアップデートで対応を図ると続けた。その先駆けとなる2月中のアップデートでは，新システムの導入や，アイテムドロップ率などのバランス調整を行うという。

　さて，2011年のHUEの状況はどうだろうか。まず，看板タイトルのGE Rが正式サービス開始から5周年を迎える。また，HELLGATEにも上位コンテンツ「HELLGATE: Tokyo」を導入するほか，各タイトルにおいてさまざまな取り組みを行っていくという。







　また，韓国T3 Entertainment/Hanbit Softの最近の動向も紹介された。トローリングを題材にした「Grand Mer」は，子どもからお年寄りまで楽しめるオンラインゲームになっているとのこと。韓国では，この2月からオープンβテストを実施しており，同時に発売された専用コントローラは品薄になっているという。近い将来には，Wi-fiネットワークを介してスマートフォンをコントローラ化するアップデートも予定している。

　「三国之天」は，三国志をモチーフにしたオンラインRPGで，韓国T3 Entertainmentが200人以上のスタッフと5年近くもの期間をかけて開発したタイトルだ。なんでも，T3の社長が三国志が大好きなので非常に力を入れて開発されている模様。同社は過去2回，三国志モノに取り組んできたが，クオリティ不足や経営方針を理由に頓挫していたとのことで，三度目の正直となる今回は，クローズドβテストに1年かけるほどの力を入れているという。テストのたびに目に見えて改善され，評価を上げてきたことから，ゲーム内容については自信を見せていた。キム氏曰く?漢らしい戦争?がウリとのことだが，魅力的な女性キャラも登場するそうだ。
















　「Audition 2」は，昨年から韓国でサービスが開始されている。前作「Audition」（日本ではX-BEAT）からエンジンが大きく改善され，キャラクターの詳細なカスタマイズが可能となり，育成システムやコミュニティ，SNSの機能もパワーアップしているとのこと。
　日本では，サービス展開に向けて，キム氏自らが音楽パブリッシャ各社との交渉を行っている段階だ。







　「MYTHOS」は，2011年1月にロシアとドイツでβテストが実施されたことを受け，いよいよ日本でも展開していくとのこと。キム氏は「『Diablo』スタイルのゲームが好きな人なら絶対ハマるはず」と自信を見せる。
　なお，ここで紹介された韓国T3 Entertainment/Hanbit Softのタイトルのうち，現時点で日本展開が確定しているのは，Grand MerとMYTHOSのみ。キム氏は，さまざまなタイトルを展開することで，Hanbit Stationを大きなポータルにしていきたいと意気込みを見せた。
